Each year, they are home to a particularly wide variety of species, and also have another function:<strong>birdwatching<\/strong>. Approach them gently, with hushed steps, and then stand still to better contemplate them. With a little luck, you&#8217;ll be able to observe the following birds:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nuthatch<\/li>\n<li>Treecreeper<\/li>\n<li>Blue or great tits<\/li>\n<li>Chaffinch<\/li>\n<li>European greenfinch<\/li>\n<li>Bullfinch<\/li>\n<li>Black woodpecker<\/li>\n<li>Robin<\/li>\n<li>Blackbird<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Migratory birds<\/h4>\n<p>With the arrival of fine weather, <strong>migratory species<\/strong> such as the warbler and the swift warbler <strong>enrich the range of birds that frequent the estate<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h4>Aquatic<\/h4>\n<p><strong>The Bois de R\u00eaves pond is stocked with fish every year<\/strong> to meet the food requirements of various species of aquatic birds. Some of them are fished by aquatic birds which feed on them, but also by humans for exclusively recreational purposes and in a<u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.boisdesreves.be\/en\/activities\/fishing\/\"> wise manner.<\/a><\/u> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Carp<\/li>\n<li>Roach<\/li>\n<li>Pike<\/li>\n<li>Bream<\/li>\n<li>Tench<\/li>\n<li>Eel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The pond is not suitable for observing trout and other salmonids, because these species prefer the clear, flowing waters of the rivers, rich in oxygen.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>The mammals<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><\/span><br \/>With a little luck and your senses on the alert, you will be able to spot (and why not, recognize) the traces left by the different mammals that inhabit Bois des R\u00eaves, or even observe them with your own eyes. They take their name from the viscous and sticky substance they contain: resin.
